International Transfer Students
Applications are accepted for the Fall Semester only and must be submitted by February 1 (the School of Pharmacy and the Teaching Professions Program in the Neag School of Education require applications and all supporting, official credentials from all transfers by January 1).
Application Checklist for International Transfer Students
The Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office must receive the following items before an admission decision can be made:
- Official transcripts sent directly to the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office from each college/university you attended, whether or not you wish or expect to receive credit
- Official secondary school academic record and/or certificate, with courses completed and date of graduation, sent directly to the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office
- All academic credentials not in English must be accompanied by official certified English translations
- SAT or ACT scores sent directly from the appropriate testing service (NOTE: This requirement is waived only for students who are 25 years of age or older, or who have completed the equivalent of 45 semester hour credits in full-time course work at the time of application.)
- Transfer essay that is a thoughtful commentary on your academic goals and explains your reasons for leaving your present/most recently attended institution to attend the University of Connecticut
- Official results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
NOTE: Your application with all required materials must be submitted and completed by the appropriate deadline. All application materials become the property of the University and will not be returned to you.
Once all required application materials have been received and your file is complete, an admission decision will be made and you will be notified by mail. (NOTE: In some cases, a final decision may be deferred until receipt of additional information as requested by the Undergraduate Transfer Admissions Office.)
